“La Masseria di Mamma” is a typical Sicilian construction, situated in the countryside of village of Alcamo. The structure although has been renovated, preserves the main characteristics of the so called “Baglio” (“Courtyard”), a rural site where in the past the social life of certain group of people mostly formed by families was conducted . “La Masseria di Mamma” in its original form dates from 1943, nowadays it has changed its prospect and has been transformed in a very elegant residence with possibility to welcome up to 10 people.
“La Masseria” is inserted in the context of a territory where the cultivation of vineyards is dominant and for this reason the vegetation appears very intensive and the surrounding environment brings the observer back in time where the nature is “sovereign queen”. This is exactly what appears in front of visitor’s eyes and this is exactly what helps visitor to relax in the countryside and at the same time to have available all necessary comforts and facilities, to enjoy the absolute elegance and accurate indoor and outdoor premises, one of which is the swimming pool with its privacy and panoramic views.
The structure is accessed through a typical gate that leads you into the “Baglio”, from where can be reached all inside premises. The structure comprises a ground floor and first floor.
The ground floor have a large and luminous living room, characterised from an arch made of local stones, originating from the period of the first construction lately it has been restored and renovated during the reconstruction. A large window looks out to the patio and pool having the countryside as background.
The main feature of the indoor premises is their colourfulness due to the old fashioned furniture representing the style of Sicilian craftsmanship.
The living room is adjacent to the kitchen, which is also spacious and luminous with sight over the swimming pool. Its features follow the canons of the “Masseria”, in the meaning of the ancient majolica and massive wood staff. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kinds of utensils, cutlery and households.
Furthermore on the ground floor there are two double bedrooms with queen size bed and both have en-suite bathroom with shower, one double bedroom with twin beds and two single bedrooms. At disposition there is also a bathroom suitable for handicap people.
The furniture in all rooms as well as in all other premises is elegant and stylish.
Another characteristic of the ground floor is the presence of an area equipped with computer with possibility of access of internet and a little library, for those guests who needs privacy.
A comfortable and pretty wooden stair goes up to the first floor, where is the suite, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and panoramic view over the surrounding territory.
There is a laundry with further bathroom with shower available too.

La Masseria di Mamma è una tipica costruzione siciliana, ubicata nella campagna alcamese. L’abitazione anche se ristrutturata, ha conservato le caratteristiche del “Baglio”, sede rurale ove si svolgeva la vita sociale e produttiva di un gruppo di persone, talvolta formato da più famiglie. La Masseria che risale nella sua costruzione originaria al 1943, oggi ha cambiato aspetto, infatti è stata trasformata in una elegante residenza con la possibilità di accogliere comodamente almeno 10 persone. La Masseria è inglobata in un territorio coltivato a prevalenza a vigneto, per cui la vegetazione appare lussureggiante e si respira un’atmosfera che riporta l’osservatore indietro nel tempo, assaporando la bellezza della natura che regna sovrana. Questo è ciò che appare all’occhio del visitatore che può rilassarsi nella campagna ma avere nello stesso tempo, tutti i comfort e il piacere delle comodità di ambienti curati ed eleganti. Come la bella piscina che dà la possibilità all’ospite di rilassarsi, godendo del panorama circostante, nella più completa privacy. Si accede al suo interno attraverso il tipico portale che conduce alla corte interna del “Baglio”, su cui si affacciano tutte le porte di accesso all’abitazione. Per cui dall’esterno è facile raggiungere tutti gli ambienti della Masseria. L’unità abitativa comprende il piano terra ed un primo piano.
Il piano-terra è composto da un ampio e luminoso salone, caratterizzato da un arco in pietra locale, risalente al periodo di prima costruzione e recuperato e restaurato durante la ristrutturazione. Una grande vetrata si affaccia sul patio e sulla piscina, il tutto caratterizzato dalla vista della campagna.
Gli ambienti emanano colore, visto che molto degli arredi sono dei mobili antichi, dell’artigianato siciliano. Dal salone si accede in cucina, anch’essa ampia e luminosa con vista sulla piscina. La cucina rispetta il tema della Masseria, per cui è caratterizzata dalle maioliche antiche e dal caldo legno. In essa troviamo tutti gli accessori, utensili ed elettrodomestici.
Al piano terra vi sono due camere da letto matrimoniali, ciascuna con bagno in camera, forniti di doccia. Inoltre, vi è una camera doppia e due camere singole. In tutte le camere da letto gli arredi sono eleganti e ricercati, cosi come in tutti gli ambienti. A servizio delle altre camere da letto, del piano terra, è stato predisposto un bagno costruito a norma per eventuali soggetti diversamente abili. Sempre al piano terra è stata prevista una zona studio attrezzata di computer con l’accesso a internet ed angolo lettura, aperta eventualmente agli ospiti che hanno di queste necessità.
Una comoda e graziosa scala in legno porta al primo piano, ove è presente la suite, costituita da una camera da letto con bagno in camera, con vista su tutto il territorio circostante.
Una comoda lavanderia con ulteriore bagno con doccia è usufruibile al piano terra, separata dal resto dell’abitazione per essere disponibile ad eventuali ospiti presenti al momento che non devono accedere al resto dell’abitazione.
